WiPR unveils Ghana’s Top 10 female PR Powerhouses for 2025

Ghana’s Public Relations (PR) and communications scene is buzzing with excitement as Women in PR (WiPR) Ghana unveils its Top 10 female PR powerhouses for 2025.

Now in its ninth year, the initiative continues to spotlight and honour selected women who are not only delivering strong and innovative campaigns but are also lifting others through mentorship and support for the next generation of female PR professionals.

The announcement was made in Accra on March 31, 2026, and according to a press release by WiPR Ghana, this year’s selection, like the years before, followed a rigorous process led by a six-member jury of experienced industry professionals.

It noted that candidates were assessed based on at least six years of experience, a strong record of impactful campaigns, and how effectively they use both traditional and digital platforms.

Beyond performance, the selection also looked at influence, including awards, speaking engagements, and commitment to mentoring young professionals. Special attention was given to candidates whose work produced clear and measurable results.

In a statement to the media, President of WiPR Ghana, Josephine Appiah-Nyamekye Sanny, described the honourees as trailblazers, saying; “This recognition not only celebrates individual achievement but also highlights the growing influence of women in shaping strategic communication across sectors in Ghana and beyond.”

Providing insight into the selection process, jury member Denise Duncan remarked that what excited the panel and the vetting process was not just creativity, but the ability of the nominees to translate communication strategies into measurable organisational impact.

“We urge PR and communications professionals to be more intentional about building their professional visibility, particularly through platforms such as LinkedIn, and to consistently document their achievements,” she added.

The Top 10 Women in PR Ghana remains one of the flagship initiatives that celebrates women making real impact in the industry while pushing the profession forward.
