British Council honours top performing Ghanaian students as part of 80th anniversary
Thirty-six top-performing students from Ghanaian schools have received awards from the British Council in honour of their outstanding performance in the Cambridge International exams.

The ceremony took place at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra and was attended by the students, their families, school leaders and teachers from the 95 British Council Partner Schools in Ghana.
This year’s awards were marked during a significant milestone as British Council celebrates 80 years of its operations in Ghana, building connections, understanding and trust.
This milestone reflects British Council’s long-standing commitment to fostering educational excellence and supporting the aspirations of generations of Ghanaians.
The top achievers who received the Star Performer Awards were Shrirang Lokesh Chandankhede from Delhi Private School International, Therese Nana Kuukua Entsua Abban from Alpha Beta Christian College - Marie and Solange Antwi-Donkor from Merton Primary & High School.
The School Leaders were Alexandra Kpikpi from New Nation School, Benjamin Boakye-Dankwah from British International School and Vivian Takyi-Mensah from Dayspring International Academy.
The School Director of New Nation School, Alexandra Kpikpi said: “We are overjoyed about the outstanding achievements of our dedicated students. Their awards are a testimony to the hard work put in by the students and our teachers.”
The Regional Exams Director, British Council, Mr Keshav Sreedharan said: “As an organisation we believe in the potential of Africa’s young people, and we are delighted to contribute to empowering Africa’s future leaders. These top achievers are among tomorrow’s leaders, and we are proud to honour them and the incredible support system that has guided them to this moment.”
