The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has renewed the appointments of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Lydia Aziato, and the Registrar, Miss Yaa Amankwaa Opuni.
This was during the council’s special meeting.
The appointments take effect from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2030.
The Vice Chancellor, in a chat with the Daily Graphic in Ho, expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in her.
She pledged to work diligently with the UHAS team and all stakeholders to develop the university within its focus and mandate to train healthcare professionals.
Professor Aziato further gave an assurance to work with others to increase programmes, research, students, staff and infrastructure, and ensure UHAS continues to be the number one health training institution in Ghana.
For her part, the registrar also promised to remain committed to the university’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
She expressed gratitude to the UHAS Council for the renewal of her appointment and called on the staff, faculty, management, and the council to support her in the execution of her duties.
