Prempeh College 1976/1978 Year Group supports alma mater
The 1976/1978 Year Group of the Prempeh College has built and handed over two three-bedroom apartments to provide accommodation for two teachers and their families on the school compound.
Estimated at GH¢400,000, the facilities are key projects the year group has provided the college as part of their homecoming and 70th Anniversary and Speech & Prize-giving Day celebration, scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2019.
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, are expected to grace the occasion.

Led by the Organiser of the year group, Senior Amoah Bediako Kwame Appiah, also known as Alapunji, the group, numbering about 40, took a tour of the school to acquaint themselves with some historic features in the school before handing over the project.
Senior Appiah noted that the group, upon deliberations with the school authorities, realised the need to ensure effective supervision of students, hence their choice of putting up additional bungalows for teachers on campus.
“In sync with the communal, giving and can-do spirit inculcated in us by the school, these bungalows are our contribution to improve quality education for current and future students of Prempeh in particular and Ghana’s growth in general," he said.
He hailed members of the group for their contributions towards the project.
The group, solemnly observed a minute of silent for their departed classmates.
Solid foundation
A royal executive donor of the group, Senior Dr Samuel Anang Borquaye, aka Alooma, hailed authorities of the Prempeh College for effectively maintaining the school's envious position in academia and other curriculum activities.
Senior Borquaye, a one-time Ashanti Regional Champion in long jump, triple jump, high jump and 4x400 metres race, noted that Prempeh College laid a solid platform for them, and that no wonder they had all excelled in their various places of work all over the world.
Commendation
The Headmaster of Prempeh College, Mr Aaron Attua Gyau, on behalf of management, staff and students, commended the year group for the donation.
