17 senior prison officers promoted
The President, Mr John Dramani Mahama, acting on the advice of the Prisons Service Council, has approved the promotion of 17 superior prison officers.

A statement issued by the Ghana Prisons Service in Accra said accordingly, the Deputy Director of Prisons (DDP), Minna Ahwa-Yankey had been promoted to Deputy Director-General of Prisons in charge of Administration, while the Deputy Director of Prisons (DDP), Mike Owusu-Amponsah, had been promoted to Deputy Director-General of Prisons in charge of Operations.
Those who have been promoted from the rank of Deputy Director of Prisons (DDP) to the rank of Director of Prisons (DOP) are: DDP Kwame Ackom Gyedu, DDP Stephen Cofie, DDP Patrick Darko Missah, DDP Emmanuel Yao Adzator and DDP Emma Dilys Sawyerr-Laryea.
The statement named those promoted from the rank of Assistant Director of Prisons (ADP) to Deputy Director of Prisons (DDP) as: ADP Blewusi Victor Agbelengor, ADP Cephas Mantey, ADP Robert Awolugutu and ADP Charity A. Magnusen.
It named the rest as: ADP Florence A. Appiah, ADP Eric K. Hini, ADP Isaac Kofi Egyir, ADP Nelson B. Duut, ADP Patience Baffoe-Bonnie and ADP Mark Kofi Atsu Agbosu.
