Accra: Five injured in fresh Agblogboshie clashes

Five persons, including a policeman, were Tuesday morning wounded in clashes between Hausas and Dagombas at the Agbogbloshie Onion Market in Accra, it has been reported.

According to a report by Accra-based Starr FM, the Hausas and Dagombas clashed Tuesday after a 2-year-old Dagomba girl defecated in an area occupied by the Hausas.
The Hausas spanked the little girl, which angered the Dagombas and prompted them to retaliate, the report noted.
Several houses were torched in the violence, the report added.
The police have beefed up security in the area.
