Amakye Dede escapes fatal accident

Highlife Legend, Amakye Dede, has sustained serious injuries in an accident that occurred at Nsutam on the Anyinam-Bunso road in the Eastern Region. Prince Yeboah, an eyewitness who spoke to Citi News, said the accident happened at about 1:00 am on New Year day, as Amakye Dede was getting ready to perform at a place called Paradise, few meters away from the popular Linda Dor Restaurant.

The Ghanaian highlife veteran nicknamed ‘Iron Boy’,  was reportedly in his car with his bodyguard, driver and manager, waiting to perform at the concert, when the sprinter crashed into them. According to the eyewitness, the car also injured three persons who  were standing at the fuel station.

Information on the state of Amakye Dede’s bodyguard is unknown for now, but his manager, Isaac Yeboah, is reported dead.
