Avoid travelling to conflict areas unless necessary-Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has cautioned Ghanaians to avoid travelling to conflict areas and countries at war unless necessary.
The ministry also urged the travelling public to be cautious of agents who promise to secure citizenship, residency permits and job offers in conflict areas and countries at war as these journeys are dangerous and most times have dire consequences.

In a statement issued on Monday, March 25, 2024, the ministry advised travellers to prioritise their safety and well-being when considering job opportunities in areas with potential risk of conscription and armed conflict.
“In light of ongoing conflicts and the risk of conscription in certain countries or regions around the world, travellers are strongly advised to exercise caution and carefully consider their travel plans,” parts of the statement read.
