Azerbaijan: President Akufo-Addo attends NAM summit

President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo has arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan to attend the 18th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement.
At the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, President Nana Akufo-Addo was met by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Foreign Minister Nadir Huseynov and other officials on Thursday.
As many as two dozen heads of state and governments are attending the two-day Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit.

The 18th forum of the 120-member group covering 55% of the world's population is expected to discuss responses to contemporary challenges around the world, at a time when the relevance of the NAM in the post-Cold War era is under question.
