CFAO donates tractor towards Farmers Day

The management of CFAO Equipment Ghana Limited has presented a new Holland TT 55 4WD tractor  valued at GH¢50,000 to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture towards the celebration of the 29th National Farmers Day slated for Sogakope in the Volta Region on December 6, 2013.

The presentation of the tractor complements CFAO’s earlier presentation of a five-tonne DEVES tipping trailer and tiller to the ministry,  and it brings to GH¢80,000 the cost of equipment so far donated by the CFAO towards this year’s celebration.

Presenting the tractor, the Managing Director of CFAO, Mr Alexis Madrance, said the donation demonstrated the company’s continued support to the ministry in the area of agricultural engineering services for Ghanaian farmers.

He expressed the hope that the presentation would further strengthen the cordial relationship between his company and the ministry, and pledged the company’s continued commitment towards future collaborations to better serve the Ghanaian farmer through mechanisation.

Receiving the tractor, the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Mr Kofi Humado, expressed appreciation to CFAO for the tractor,  and appealed to other institutions to donate towards the celebration.
