Chief Fire Officer presents award to Minister
The Chief Fire Officer, Dr Albert Brown Gaisie, has been awarded by an international journal, ‘the African Success Journal, ‘of the Civilian institute of Democratic Administration for his contributions,” to fire safety in the country.
The institute had observed his contributions to humanity in the field of fire safety, firefighting technology and preventive techniques to ensure fire safety nationwide.
The institute, therefore, conferred on him the African International Award for impacting positively on fire safety in Ghana and the African continent, at a ceremony in Abuja, Nigeria, last Saturday.
At the Ministry of the Interior yesterday, Dr Gaisie presented the award to the sector minister, Mr Prosper Bani.
Commendation
Mr Bani commended the Chief Fire Officer for receiving the award, and urged him to continue to work hard to ensure safety in the country.
He urged other agencies under his ministry to work selflessly for national security.
Dr Gaisie dedicated his award to all fire service workers in Ghana and Africa.
