Held as part of activities marking the 5th anniversary of the ministry, members of the group were also educated on the importance of proper grooming.

The President of The Chosen Woman Ministry, Rev. Mrs Dora Tackie Yarboi, advised members to properly behave both in public and at home and commit themselves to self-grooming.

According to Rev. Mrs Tackie Yarboi, most women in ministry, especially pastors' wives, had ignored personal grooming and the use of make-ups due to some misconceptions, explaining that the role of a pastor's wife and women in ministry was not all about spirituality but also taking very good care of ones self, and being modest in appearance as well.

Role Models

An associate of the ministry, Rev. Mrs Mouha Amoako, said as women in ministry and pastors' wives, most people, especially younger women, looked up to them as role models, hence the need to take self-grooming seriously.

In a related development, The Chosen Woman Ministry also presented assorted items valued at GH¢8000 to the maternity ward of the La General Hospital. The items included bedsheets with pillow cases, buckets and mops, toilet rolls and disinfectants.

Presenting the items, Rev. Mrs Tackie Yarboi commended staff of the ward for their commitment to duty and encouraged them to uphold the virtues of their profession.

Mrs Joyce Ofori Akyea, a Deputy Director of Nursing Service at the La General Hospital,  who received the items on behalf of the ward, expressed the gratitude of the hospital for the gesture and said the items would go a long way to help in their operations.
