Court grants Obinim Gh¢10,000 bail for physical abuse

Bishop Daniel Obinim of the International Godsway Church has been granted a Gh¢10,000 bail with one surety for allegedly abusing two of his church members.
Bishop Obinim sparked public outrage after a video of the incident which showed him beating two teenagers whom he accused of fornication went viral.
He has since been charged with physical abuse under the DOVVSU Act while two of his pastors have also been charged with abetment of crime.
The case has been adjourned to November 24, 2016 by the court, presided over by Mrs Abena Adjin-Poku.
The two other pastors have also been granted bail in the sum of Gh¢10,000 each with one surety.
