COVID-19: Ghana records 14 deaths in 48hours
Fourteen persons have succumbed to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), within 48 hours bringing the death toll to 982, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has disclosed.
The death toll stood at 968 as of Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
An update from the GHS disclosed that as of Friday, August 20, 2021, the country has recorded 423 new cases of the disease (COVID-19), increasing the cumulative number of active cases in the country to 6,850.
The country's total cumulative case count stands at 115,525, representing 7.3 per cent of the test positivity rate.
The number of persons who have recovered/discharged is 107, 693 with 34 persons in severe condition 20 others in critical condition.
