COVID19: Cheddar donates to the needy ahead of lockdown
Businessman Nana Kwame Bediako alias Cheddar came to the aid of the needy and some persons with disabilities in Accra ahead of the partial lockdown of the city on Sunday due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Cheddar through his social intervention project which is christened "The Freedom Movement" made stops at three locations in the capital to hand out bags of rice, cooking oil, tomato paste, mackerel and sachet water to hundreds of people.
Cheddar and his team made stops at the Black Star Square, the Jamestown Lighthouse and Dansoman Last Stop.

Speaking after the donations, Cheddar said it was vital that corporate Ghana and well-to-do individuals come to the aid of the less fortunate during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He was hopeful that the measures put in place by the government would help arrest the spread of the pandemic.

“I share and understand their pain and I pray that God will not let this disease overtake our country. I pray that in the next two weeks everybody gets something to eat. The disabled, abled, the ones without money and without money, I pray for everyone. It’s the first time we are all going through this in the world and I’m here to be with them. I believe that the government, without support will defeat this enemy”, he said.
“We are Ghanaians, Africans, black people and we are not that rich like other nations. I know some people will find it very hard to eat and drink so I decided to come to the streets to the less privileged areas to share my little with those who don’t have food and money to sustain the next two weeks.”
