Dedicate more resources to supervision in schools — Alhaji Limuna

The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, has asked district assemblies in the region to dedicate more resources to support monitoring and supervision in schools.

He said this was because the failure to properly monitor and supervise the activities of teachers and learners had been identified as one of the contributory factors to poor performance of pupils.


During a ceremony to present to him the status report on the activities of the Northern Regional Education Sector Working Group (ESWG) in Tamale, the minister said he had recommended that each assembly put aside budgetary allocations for the provision of motorbikes and other logistics to the Ghana Education Service (GES) to support monitoring and supervision so as to guarantee quality teaching and learning.
