Dubbed the “The Christmas Child” the organisers ensured smiles were put back on the faces of children who were still on admission at the time the team visited.

The children were served with delicious food while Santa Claus popularly known as “Father Christmas” gave each child at the ward a gift wrapped in varying shapes and sizes.

Presenting some items to the children’s ward of the hospital, a representative of the Dress a Kid foundation, Ms Ama Kwapong said, the foundation felt the pain of the children and were motivated to show their love to the children who were unfortunate to be sick during the Christmas season.

A Nebulizer, equipment commonly used for the treatment of cystic fibrosis, asthma, COPD and other respiratory diseases was also presented to the children’s unit.

The nurse in-charge of the children’s ward Mrs Susanna Owusua Aidoo upon receiving the items expressed her profound gratitude to the foundation for making the children feel a part of this year’s Christmas.

“We are very grateful and happy for our clients because they are all happy, and that alone will speed up their recovery process”, she said.
