Founding Fathers of Dansoman Apostolic Church honoured
Fifteen Founding Fathers and officers of the Dansoman District of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, have been recognised for their contributions and dedication to the formation and growth of the church.

The President of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, Apostle Ebenezer Nsesa Abebrese, led in acknowledging the distinguished personalities in a church service held last Sunday. He stated that "the church needs to encourage the youth to emulate the virtues of these gallant people so that they may render unselfish service in the house of God."
Among the 15 recipients were two centenarians and 13 officers who through hard work fought for the establishment of the church against court injunctions and other problems over land.
In his sermon for the occasion, Apostle Abebrese recounted the strenuous efforts put in by the founding fathers and their allegiance to the cause of establishing the church in Dansoman 31 years ago.
He was full of praise and reminded church members to imbide good teachings and values, and that if they did that they would not only be rewarded on earth but in heaven as well.
He expressed the hope that God would continue to shower his love and blessings on the pioneers and their descendants.
He reminded the youth to seek the face of the Lord and wait patiently on him to fulfil their aspirations in life.
Apostle Abebrese also urged them to be loyal, humble, truthful and selfless and be ready to serve in the church.

The pioneers were each given money, a citation and a certificate in recognition of their complete and wholehearted faithfulness towards the growth of the church.
The Chairman of the Planning Committee of the church, Elder Gilbert Sam, disclosed that the church was founded in Dansoman in 1983.
He added that it had gone through different phases of development and, but for the strong feeling of eagerness, exhibited by the founding fathers, the church would not have been able to stand firm.
According to him, the church started with 30 people and now had nine assemblies in the Dansoman district.
