Hollard Ghana has announced the death of its Group CEO, Patience Akyianu.
It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss that Hollard Ghana announces the passing of our Group Chief Executive Officer, Patience Enyonam Akyianu on Sunday, September 2026
Patience was more than an exceptional leader; she was the beating heart of Hollard Ghana. Having joined us in October 2018, she became our first Group CEP, blazing a trail and laying a solid, purpose-led foundation for our future.

In a statement, Hollard Ghana said under her exemplary stewardship, Patience was instrumental in transforming Hollard Ghana into the dynamic, market-leading force it is today.
She was a visionary whose guidance made insurance more accessible to thousands across Ghana. Her defining legacy is not just the business growth she engineered, nor the trusted brand she built, but the culture of care, courage, and kindness she fostered within our team and in our communities.
Patience will be remembered by the Hollard family, and the wider financial services sector, for her grace, her unwavering commitment to our people, our customers, and our shared purpose of enabling more people to create and secure a better future.
We extend our deepest, most heartfelt condolences to her husband, Kwame Akyianu Esquire, and her children, Awurama and Nana Banyin, as well as all her loved ones during this profoundly difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
