Ghana Fire Service rescues dog trapped in well at Amamorley
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has rescued a dog that was trapped in a well at Amamorley Canada Junction in the Greater Accra Region, following a swift emergency response.
According to a statement issued by the Service, a distress call was received on January 20, 2025, reporting that a dog had fallen into a well and was unable to escape. A three-member rescue team, led by ADO1 Nana Kobina Biney, was immediately dispatched to the scene and arrived within minutes.
The team deployed standard rescue procedures to safely retrieve the trapped animal from the well, ensuring that no harm came to the dog during the operation.
