#Coronavirus:Akufo-Addo to address nation Saturday evening – Oppong Nkrumah
President Akufo-Addo will address the nation this evening (Saturday March 21, 2020) on the latest updates the novel coronavirus (COVID 19).
The address follows a meeting with the Covid-19 response committee in Accra on Saturday.
Speaking on Accra based radio station, Joy FM, monitored by Graphic Online, the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said the President will be briefing the nation on the measures being put in place to curtail the spread of the disease.

The president in his last national address on the pandemic on Sunday March 15, 2020, suspended all public gatherings in the country following the recording of six COVID-19.
"I have decided, in the interest of public safety and protection of our population, to review the public gathering advisories earlier announced."
He said among the gatherings suspended are church services, weddings, funerals, other social gatherings.
All universities, senior high schools and basic schools - public and private schools have been closed since the announcement was made.
Ghana has so far recorded 19 cases of the COVID 19 but the minister said the government was unto of issues, “Case management reports show that the active cases are responding very well to treatment awaiting final cure tests. Our frontline response workers at hospitals and ports are doing well so far.”
