Inauguration
Speaking at a ceremony in Accra last Wednesday, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of GWL, Eric J. Biliguo, urged the council to develop, among others, internationally recognised training programmes and certifications and establish strategic partnerships with universities and development partners.
He also called on them to promote research that addressed operational challenges within the water sector and generate sustainable revenue through consultancy and knowledge services.
Mr Biliguo charged the Board of Directors of G-Water Bottling Limited to transform the company into one of the country’s most visible, trusted and commercially successful bottled water brands.
Quality assurance
The Managing Director of GWL, Adam Mutawakilu, urged the Governing Council of GWI to uphold integrity, professionalism and accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He said there was a need for the Board of Directors of G-Water Bottling Limited to leverage the company’s expertise in water production and quality assurance to compete effectively within the country’s bottled water industry.
On behalf of the council, Prof. Abujaja said the council would work to ensure that the Institute became a credible centre of excellence for training, research, knowledge-sharing and professional development.
