Ho: ‘Kidnapped’ girl found, reunited with family
The police in Aflao in the Volta region have rescued a 17-year-old girl, Miss Marion Emefa Lumor who was allegedly kidnapped from Ho last Monday.
Her aunt, Madam Beatrice Dzorvakpor with whom she lives at the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) flats in Ho reported to the police when the girl failed to return home from visiting the bank on that day.
Speaking to the Daily Graphic in Ho Thursday, the Director General of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, Assistant Commissioner of Police, David Eklu said the aunt had sent the girl to a bank in Ho to transact a business in connection with the payment of school fees.

He said the girl did not come back home but the aunt later received a message on her mobile phone indicating that she had been tied to a chair at an undisclosed location waiting to be killed for ritual purposes.
ACP Eklu said the police were informed and therefore circulated alert messages and also started working with the family to look for the girl, adding that on the following day, January 22, she was found at Aflao near another bank where the uncle incidentally works.
He said the uncle who had been informed of the missing girl reported to the police leading to her arrest together with a 17-year-old boy.
ACP Eklu who was in the Volta region to interact with the media, said the girl has since been handed over to her family in good health and that the police were still investigating what really happened.
