
ICGC’s Walk of Life donates GH¢300,000 for Mental Health Care
The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) has donated an amount of GH¢300,000 to the Mental Health Authority to support mental health care in Ghana.
The gesture is to back the church’s commitment to promoting physical health and mental well-being.
Since 2019, the church has worked closely with the Mental Health Authority to raise awareness and provide tangible support for mental health facilities.
The amount was raised for the annual walk of the ICGC, Life Walk 2025, an annual fitness and charity initiative.
Support for mental health care
A delegation, made up of Rev. Anthony Cudjoe, Rev. Priscilla Naana Nketia and Rev. Selina Klu Abini, presented the cheque, received on behalf of the Mental Health Authority by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr Pinaman Appau.

Presenting the cheque on behalf of the General Overseer of the ICGC, Pastor Mensah Otabil, Rev. Cudjoe stressed the church’s ongoing commitment to breaking the stigma around mental health and expanding access to care.
Receiving the cheque, Dr Appau expressed profound gratitude to the ICGC for its unwavering support in addressing mental health challenges in Ghana.
Life Walk 2025
The church’s Life Walk, which celebrated its 20th anniversary having been started in 2005, serves as a reminder of the importance of prioritising one’s health.
It is also a powerful statement on the importance of holistic well-being and social impact.
The 12-kilometre walk attracted thousands of people, representing various ages.
Addressing the participants on behalf of Pastor Otabil, Rev. Cudjoe, reaffirmed the church’s commitment to promoting physical health, mental well-being and community transformation.
"Life Walk is more than a fitness exercise; it is a mission of love and generosity," he emphasised.
On behalf of the ICGC, Rev. Cudjoe expressed gratitude to all participants, church leadership, partners, and the media for their role in making Life Walk 2025 a success.
He said the church encourages everyone to carry the spirit of the event beyond the day, embracing movement, health, and kindness in their daily lives.
