Maame Efua Houadjeto named Best Public Company CEO for 2025 - Recognised as Global Cultural Ambassador
The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Maame Efua Houadjeto, has received two tourism awards for her excellent leadership in the industry.
At the 15th Goldbond Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre, she was named Best Public Company CEO of the
Year 2025, a recognition of her strategic management and transformative approach within the public sector.

The award comes after her international recognition as Global Cultural Ambassador at a Pre-Grammy event in Beverly Hills ahead of the 2026 Grammy Awards, a distinction that reflects her growing influence in positioning Ghana’s tourism and creative industry on the global stage.
These recognitions come on the heels of a year widely regarded as a turning point for Ghana’s tourism.
Leadership
Under her leadership, initiatives such as December in Ghana, Heritage Month, culinary activations like Taste 68 at 68, strengthened diaspora and cultural diplomacy efforts have reshaped how Ghana presents itself to the world.
The local award affirms operational excellence while the international honour signals cultural impact beyond Ghana’s borders.

Commenting on the awards, Mrs Houadjeto noted, “These honours are not just personal milestones.
