Make the best out of your studies - Swiss Ambassador to students

The Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Simone Giger, has paid an unannounced familiarisation visit to Young Executive School (YES) at Kasoa in the Awutu East municipality in the Central Region, with a charge to the students to study hard.

She emphasised the importance of education and encouraged the students to work hard.

She charged them to make the best out of their studies since they were immensely important for their future success in life.

During the visit, she took the opportunity to interact with the management and students of the school.

In an open forum, the students eagerly shared their experiences in the school and asked her questions about life in Switzerland.

Ms Giger, who is also the Swiss Ambassador to Togo and Benin, was deeply impressed by what she saw.

Study

“I have visited many schools since assuming office as the Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, and I must say Young Executive School is very beautiful and well organised,” she remarked.

She held fruitful discussions with the school’s management and staff before addressing the students.

She encouraged them to study hard and took time to speak about Switzerland, including the country’s unique geography and topography.

NGO

The ambassador was accompanied by senior officials from For The Future, a non-governmental organisation that currently sponsors eight students at YES.

She expressed her appreciation to the YES’s Director and Founder, Rev. Nana Francis Essel-Okyeahene I, for supporting the education of the students, a gesture highlighted by the NGO’s management.

Clearly delighted by the visit, Ms Giger expressed hope of her return.

The management, staff, and students of YES expressed heartfelt thanks for her presence, saying the visit was an honour and a memorable moment for the entire school community.

The YES was established in August 2010 with a core mandate to become a world-class educational institute that provides solid basic education for younger children.
