He pointed out that peace was paramount for the church in Ghana to thrive, for which reason concerted effort was needed on the part of all churches to prepare their members to exercise their franchise peacefully.

Ordination

The Moderator said this in an interview at the ordination of 16 pastors of the Global Evangelical Church in Accra. He entreated all politicians and actors in the electoral process to attend to their duties ethically.

He urged the ordinands to rekindle their commitment to serving the church in purity so that they could make an impact to retain members in the church. Rt Rev. Dzomeku reminded the congregants that as God's creation, everyone had been endowed with special giftings or ministry gifts with which they were to serve one another.

He urged all Christians to serve God and nation in purity irrespective of where they found themselves.

Preaching on the theme: "Purified and Refined for Ministry”, the Moderator said those who sought to have others live in holiness must themselves be holy for God's use.

Pastors

Rt Rev. Dzomeku added that pastors should lead by example in order to influence the youth of today to live in holiness. He used the occasion to remind members of the influence the Global Evangelical Church wielded in its formative stage, calling on members to refine their commitment to Christ.

The ceremony was graced by some functionaries of the church, including the current and former Synod Committee Executives of the church, Presbytery chairmen, among others.
