The project formed part of the group's 25th anniversary and is aimed at improving the lives of students and staff at their alma mater.

Nana Bediako Brogya Sarpong, the Dompiahene of the Agogo traditional area and a prominent member of the '99 year group led the inauguration ceremony.

The staff apartment project, which was completed in three months, was officially handed over to Rev. Lewise Asare, the Headmaster of Prempeh College and the student body.

The water system, which extends from the school field throughout the compound and bungalows, covering approximately 2.5 km of piping, is also fitted with a large reservoir to ensure a steady water supply to all houses and staff bungalows on the compound.

Gratitude

During the ceremony, Nana Brogya Sarpong expressed disbelief that a quarter-century had passed since their graduation and emphasised the importance of giving back, stating that their current gestures were inspired by visiting alumni during their school days.

He encouraged the current students to carry on this tradition of service and support for future generations. The event was attended by the school's headmaster, teaching staff and students. Sarpong expressed gratitude to the anniversary committee for their hard work in organising the celebration and coordinating the projects.

Looking to the future, Sarpong reaffirmed a promise made during a previous visit regarding the development of an athletic oval.

The athletic oval project, which is currently in progress, is being supported by notable alumni including Benjamin Acolatse, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, a vice presidential candidate.

The reunion not only served as a nostalgic gathering for the Class of '99 but also as a powerful demonstration of the lasting impact of education and the importance of continued support for one's alma mater.
