President Mahama attends World Economic Forum
President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in London, enroute to Davos, Switzerland, for this year’s World Economic Forum meetings scheduled for January 19 to 23.
The World Economic Forum is a premier global platform that brings leaders from government, business, civil society and academia together to engage in forward-looking discussions to address global issues and set priorities.
Engagement
While at the meeting, President Mahama is expected to participate in one of the sessions and also hold bilateral meetings with some world leaders on the sidelines of the forum.
These engagements are expected to address mutual interests and strengthen Ghana’s international partnerships.
While in London, President Mahama will hold internal coordination meetings on the Accra Reset Initiative, a key policy framework of his administration.
World Forum
This year’s meeting, on the theme: 'A Spirit of Dialogue,' will be structured around five key global challenges where public-private dialogue and cooperation involving all stakeholders would be held.
In addressing these challenges, growth, resilience and innovation will serve as cross-cutting imperatives, guiding how leaders engage with today’s complexity and pursue tomorrow’s opportunities.
