SDA Accra City Conference elects new President
The Accra City Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church has elected Pastor Dr Timothy Yeboah as its new President.
Pastor Dr Yeboah was elected during the church's First Quinquennial Session at Gomoa-Kweikrom in the Central Region.
With over three decades of service to the church, Pastor Dr Yeboah brings to the SDA Church leadership, a wealth of experience and Biblical fidelity, strategic leadership skill, and mission-driven service.
In an interview, Pastor Dr Yeboah promised to create more employment opportunities for the youth through the church's cooperative credit union and other arrangements.
He also pledged to increase the membership of the Accra City Conference during his five-year term.
The new conference President said he would continue projects initiated by his predecessor.
The outgoing President of the conference, Pastor Dr Solomon Okoe Trebi Hammond, who served the conference for 10 years, expressed his willingness to support his successor.
He further encouraged the new executive members to work in harmony with the new President.
Induction
The President of the South West Ghana Union Conference, Pastor Yaw Kwakye Adeefe, inducted the new team, and delivered a sermon, emphasising the importance of proclaiming the message of Jesus's second coming.
The occasion was also used to honour past and present members of the conference who had supported the church in various ways.
Other members of the new executive of the Accra City Conference of the SDA Church are Pastor Kesther George Agbasi as Executive Secretary; Elder Charles Kobina Anoo Quaye as Treasurer; Pastor Gaddiel Yeboah as Associate Secretary; Pastor Dr Eric Agyenim Boateng as Associate Treasurer, and Vivian Anyadoe as Associate Treasurer in charge of Accounts.
The new directors of the conference include Pastor Emmanuel Kojo Manu Awuah, Pastor Charles Kodua, Pastor Elorm John Edison Agbenorto, Pastor Daniel Abaidoo Bidiaba, Cecilia Betty Brown and Patience Osei.
