Teachers declare strike over legacy arrears

Teacher Unions in Ghana have declared a nationwide strike effective Monday, December 9, 2019, over the failure of the government to pay the legacy arrears of members.
According to the three teachers unions, the arrears spans the period 2012 to 2016.
The unions; the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT), announced their industrial action at a press conference in Accra Thursday [December 5, 2019] morning
