Imitate Christ Convention begins Friday
Jehovah’s Witnesses will begin a series of annual three-day regional conventions at the witnesses’ new Assembly Hall at Nyanyano, near Kasoa, on Friday, October 16, 2015
The conventions, on the theme: “Imitate Christ!”, will be held in Ga, English, Twi and Ewe.
A convention spokesman said: “Jesus, the founder of Christianity, is widely considered as one of the most influential and significant men who ever lived. As Christians, a core belief of Jehovah’s Witnesses is that Jesus lived his life as a model for us to follow.”
The conventions would examine Jesus’ life as outlined in the Bible and emphasise how all —- regardless of their background, lifestyle or religion — could benefit in practical ways from His example and teachings, he said.
He added that a highlight of the programme would be the keynote address on Friday morning entitled: “Concealed in Him Are the Treasures of Wisdom.”
