Nsakina chief appeals for support for junior high school

The Mankrado of Nsakina in the Ga West District, Nii Tetteh Kobina, has called on the Ghana Education Service (GES) to provide chairs for the students of the Nsakina Municipal Assembly (MA) Primary and Junior High School.

Currently, a number of the students sit on cement blocks under tents to take their lessons.

Nii Kobina said he and his elders had provided some chairs for the students, while some parents and guardians had bought additional ones for their children and wards who carried them to and from school every day.

He commended the teachers for accepting to teach in what he described as a deplorable school.

The Mankrado, however, advised the teachers to be more innovative in teaching the children, especially the JHS and the upper primary ones.

When contacted, the Circuit Supervisor of the Manhean area, Miss Gifty Addison, said the school authorities were working around the clock to address the situation.

Bad roads

Nii Kobina also complained about the deplorable state of roads in the area and said because of that, vehicles that plied the routes to the various communities often broke down.

He urged the Ghana Water Company to ensure that it delivered the sustainable development goals in the area, leaving no one behind.

Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Nii Laryea Okai, and the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, Clement Nii Lamptey Wilkinson, have jointly presented GH¢7,500 to the traditional authorities to help in the provision of development projects in the area.
