TGMA returns to Grand Arena
Organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse Productions, have announced a change in venue for this year’s ceremony, with the event now set to take place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, May 5, Charterhouse Productions said the 27th edition of the awards, originally scheduled to be held at the Palms Convention Centre, will now come off at the Grand Arena on Saturday, May 9, from 7 pm.
According to the organisers, the change reflects the growing scale and ambition of the awards scheme, which continues to expand in production and audience reach.
They explained that the Grand Arena offers a larger capacity and improved technical infrastructure to support a world class experience for patrons, artistes and stakeholders.
The statement further noted that the venue has been home to the TGMA since 2019 and is well-suited for the dynamic staging, broadcast and audience engagement that define the awards.
Charterhouse also expressed appreciation to key stakeholders, particularly headline sponsor Telecel Ghana, for their continued support over the years.
It also acknowledged the support of the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their role in facilitating this year’s event at the Grand Arena and contributing to the growth of the creative arts sector.
The organisers assured nominees, guests and the general public of an exciting and memorable night that celebrates Ghanaian music and culture on a global stage.
