Koku Anyidoho granted bail

The Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has been granted bail.
Mr Anyidoho spent two nights in the custody of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) after he was arrested by the police Tuesday for alleged treasonable comments.
He was released by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in the presence of his father, Major General Henry Kwami Anyidoho and his lawyers.

Charges
The police have slapped Mr Anyidoho with three charges of causing fear and alarm and treason felony following his alleged remarks that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would be overthrown in a civil revolt.
He said the overthrow will be in the form of a “civilian coup d’etat”.
