Korley-Klottey Municipal Inter Schools Ga Quiz Competition begins
The second edition of the Korley-Klottey Municipal Inter-School Quiz begins this Thursday with an opening ceremony at the Evangel Assemblies of God Church, Adabraka, Accra.
Aimed to help pupils in the municipality to improve on their Ga language ability, the maiden edition of the quiz was organised last year.
This year’s edition is under the theme, “Promoting the Ga Language towards achieving developmental goals in Ghana.”

The maiden edition had 11 schools from Adabraka competing.
However, 13 more schools have been joined, which has expanded the competition beyond Adabraka schools to include Osu schools.
Two different venues will host the group stage namely, Evangel Assemblies of God Church, Adabraka, and Osu Presby Girls’ Basic School, Osu.
Some of the contesting schools are Calvary Methodist Basic 1 & 2, Gray Memorial Basic, Rev. Ernest Bruce Methodist, Additrom Basic School, Virgo Preparatory, St. Joseph Basic, Osu Salem Road, Osu Salem Presby, Osu Presby Preparatory, Tiny Flower School, and St Barnabas Anglican School.
The competition is in four stages, preliminary, quarter, semi-final and final stages.
According to the Adabraka Atukpai Mantse, Ni Tetteh Adjabeng II, the initiator of the quiz, the idea is to advocate for people to develop interest in the Ga language and culture.

“The Ga Language is sinking and we need to promote it", he said.
