The company has, over the years, served lower income earners with one and two-bedroom expandable houses, 45 of which were completed and sold to customers, while an additional 78 were built and sold to middle-class customers in 2014.

Dedicated staff

The Managing Director of the company, Mr Noble Prince-Joseph M.K. Ayiku, made this known at the end-of-year get-together and awards dinner at the Lakeside Marina Park at Ashale Botwe in Accra last Saturday.

The event was organised to reward hardworking and dedicated workers of the company.

According to him, the company would start serving the middle and upper classes from next year, while few one and two-bedroom houses would be built.

“We shall focus more attention on three and four-bedroom houses, as the company has set itself a target to build 91 houses  next year,” he said.

Mr Ayiku, who won the West African Nobles Award for 2014, expressed worry about economic challenges, particularly the depreciation of the cedi and the power crisis, both of which had negatively affected the business community and forced a number of them to lay off their workers or shut down completely.

He called on Ghanaians to be passionate about their work and seek to make Ghana work, despite the challenges.

Company’s contribution

He said the company, in November this year, inaugurated a second police station project at Ashale Botwe in an answer to calls by the Police Administration for a public-private partnership in developing the infrastructure needs of the police.

Apart from the security project, Mr Ayiku said work had also started on a banking and shopping plaza which was expected to be completed next year.

Award Winners

“Working an extra mile, being organised at work, trustworthiness, dependability, being a team player, loyalty and resourcefulness are the must-be characteristics of your passion,” he added.

Dauda was rewarded for being the best administrator; Nicholas Salvage received an award for being the best site worker; Gyenti Sekyi picked the award for being the best security officer, with Samuel Searyoh, Ababio Emmanuel and Hamdaway being given long service awards.
