Lets protect water bodies —TOUGHA

The National Chairperson of Tour Operators of Ghana (TOUGHA), Mrs Nancy Sam, has condemned the continued deterioration of the quality of the nation’s wetlands and water bodies despite interventions by some state institutions.

She cited the Korle Lagoon, Sakumono Wetlands, Rivers Pra and Ankobra as some of the wetlands that were currently in a pitiful state. 

Mrs Sam was speaking at a stakeholder’s forum under the auspices of the Business Sector Advocacy Challenge (BUSAC) fund on mainstreaming the role of tour operators in the sustainable management of Ghana’s water bodies and wetlands.
