Life changers assists Accra Psychiatric Hospital

The Life Changers Group (TLCG), a non-governmental organisation, yesterday donated provisions to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital in Accra.

The items, worth GH¢ 1,300, include bags of rice, cooking oil, sugar and toiletries.

Presenting the items, the Country Coordinator of Life Changers Group, Mr Godwin Gowon, said the items were for the inmates and formed part of the social responsibility of the group.

He said TLCG had supported a boy born without an anus in Ho in the Volta Region to undergo surgical operation at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and had donated mobility aids to a physically challenged group at Abeka Lapaz.

The Principal Nursing Officer, Ms Beatrice Nyarko, who received the items on behalf of the Medical Director, Dr Kwesi Osei, lauded the initiative of the TLCG.

Ms Nyarko called on other corporate bodies and individuals to emulate the kind gesture of the organisation to help the mentally challenged patients at the centre.
