When she appeared before the Appointments Committee of Parliament to be vetted for the position she had been nominated for, the minister reportedly told the committee that the outlook of tourism in Ghana was bright, since the country had a conducive political environment to attract tourists into the country.
She stated that the growing middle class in the country meant that many people had a lot of money to spend in the tourism sector, adding that all Ghana needed was to solve problems associated with the sector in order to accrue the desired profit.
She stated that there was the need for Ghana to encourage domestic tourism and gave an assurance that she would help in the organisation of organised groups to visit the various tourist attractions in the country. She encouraged the district assemblies to identify tourist sites in their area and collaborate with the ministry for their development in order to create employment and generate revenue to finance more development projects.
A brilliant student in her schooldays, she passed through her academic career with distinction and has been a practising lawyer handling many important cases at the courts.
Mrs Ofosu-Adjare, 39, had her secondary education at St Monica’s SHS at Asante Mampong completing the Advanced Level in 1993.
She then entered the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science in 1998.

From there she entered the Ghana School of Law for the professional programme, which she completed in 2004 and was consequently called to the Bar.
