Mpraeso gets new Adontenhene

The beautiful town of Mpraeso which lies on the lofty Kwahu Mountains in the Kwahu Traditional Area was full of excitement last Saturday when a 60 year old business woman, Mrs Asantewaa Yeboah Daniel, was enstooled Adontenhene of the town under the stool name, Nana Krobea Asante I.

The splendid and colourful ceremony brought to light the various traditional dances and customs depicting the various traditional areas in the country during which every tribe was portrayed.

One significant aspect was the display of Akan traditional drums as well as musical instruments and tunes from the northern regions of the country to the applause of a number of dignitaries from all parts of the country.
