Nalerigu named capital of newly created North East Region

Nalerigu, the largest town in the East Mamprusi Municipal Assembly, has been named the capital of the newly created North East Region of Ghana.

This was announced by President Akufo-Addo on Tuesday at a ceremony to present the Constitutional Instrument backing the creation of the region.

The announcement was greeted by wild cheers.
