It said all matters relating to the police recruitment scam were being handled by the Police Administration.

“The secretariat wishes to inform you and the general public that all matters pertaining to the police recruitment scam, including the freezing of COP Patrick Timbilla’s accounts, are being handled by the Police Administration,” a statement from the National Security Secretariat said in response to a publication in the Ghanaian Times.

It, therefore, entreated all media houses to resort to the Police Administration for all enquiries and information.

The Ghanaian Times, in its last Friday, March 13, 2015, publication, said the National Security had frozen the bank accounts of COP Timbilla, who has been cited in the police recruitment scam.

The paper, in attributing the statement to the Minister of the Interior, Mr Mark Woyongo, said the National Security had gone through the necessary procedures to get his accounts frozen, to wit “immediately COP Timbilla was interdicted, the process of freezing his accounts started and has been concluded”.
