The church made the presentation following an appeal the scheme made to corporate institutions and individuals for support to enable it to equip a number of NSS district offices.

At a ceremony in Accra to hand over the equipment to the NSS, an elder of the Church, Mr Lynn Panter, said the gesture was part of the church's corporate social responsibility agenda to assist individuals and organisations.

He said the church was focused on offering humanitarian assistance in the medical and educational fields and  also providing communities with clean drinking water.

The Acting Executive Director of the National Service Scheme, Dr Michael Kpesa Whyte, received the items on behalf of the scheme and expressed his gratitude to the church.

Dr Whyte said the scheme did not have computers in some of its district offices and noted that the computers would help to enhance work processes and the operations of the NSS in general.

He gave an assurance that the equipment would be used for the intended purpose and urged other benevolent organisations and public -spirited individuals to assist the office.
