A statement issued by the party Monday and signed by the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah acknowledged that during Ramadan, Muslims went through spiritual cleansing and purity during which they asked for God’s blessing, favour and kindness for mankind.

“We extend our warmest felicitation to all Muslims as they end the Ramadan. It was one of the difficult times of fasting and prayers not for only you but for the socio-economic and political development of mother Ghana. The NDC have always believed that your continuous prayers and fasting has contributed to the harmonious co-existence which has become the bedrock for peace and tranquility, stability and development in the country.”

The party enjoined the Ghanaian society on “this joyous occasion” to join Muslims to give thanks to Almighty Allah the Merciful, for his abundant blessing and guidance.

“We urge Ghanaians to use the occasion to rededicate ourselves to patriotism and commitment to contribute our quota towards the development of the nation in all spheres of endeavour.”
