Nene Drolor Bosso Adamtey I: Council of State member calls for unity over Greater Accra MMDCE nominations
A member of the Council of State representing the Greater Accra Region, Nene Drolor Bosso Adamtey I, has called for unity and collaboration following President John Dramani Mahama’s announcement of new nominees for Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) positions across the region.
In a statement released on April 24, 2025, Adamtey I warmly congratulated all individuals whose names appeared on the list, describing their selection as a reflection of trust placed in them to lead local governance efforts with "dedication and integrity."
“To those who were not nominated on this occasion, I encourage you to remain hopeful. Your commitment and contributions to public service are valued, and there will be future opportunities for you to apply your talents in the advancement of our region,” he added.
Adamtey I also called on Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assembly members to endorse the President’s nominees during their confirmation votes. He emphasized that their support would affirm the nomination process and provide a solid foundation for the effective rollout of the government's RESET Agenda.
"Unity and collaboration are essential as we work to address the needs of our communities and promote sustainable development throughout Greater Accra. Let us move forward in solidarity, focused on the shared goal of improving the lives of our citizens," the statement concluded.
The call by HRM Drolor Bosso Adamtey I is seen as an effort to smoothen the confirmation process and rally the region’s leadership around the broader national development objectives.
