Nestlé Ghana celebrates International Women's Day with call for accelerated action

Nestlé Ghana Ltd marked this year's International Women's Day (IWD) on Monday, March 17, 2025, in Accra, with a call to accelerate the advancement of women in all sectors.

The event featured a panel discussion on the theme #Life as a Career Woman – Perspectives from Different Generations, which aligned with the global theme #AccelerateAction. 

Both female and male staff gathered for the occasion, engaging in insightful conversations and discussions.

Panelists for the discussions included a Professor of Nutrition, Prof. Matilda Steiner-Asiedu and Founder of Flawless Beauty Salon & Combel Bella Ltd., Comfort Awuah.

The panelists shared valuable insights on women's roles in the workforce, resilience and the diverse experiences that have shaped their careers.

Human Resources Manager at Nestlé Ghana, Sophia Benson spoke at the event, highlighting the importance of celebrating International Women's Day. 

She shared Nestlé’s ongoing efforts to create a workplace where women feel valued, motivated and empowered to succeed.

In her closing remarks, Corporate Communication and Public Affairs Manager, Mrs Deborah Kwabalah underscored the relevance and impact of the event, drawing on both her personal and professional experiences.
