Ofankor tenant shooting: Landlord's gun was legally acquired - Police
The Ghana Police Service has disclosed that the gun used by the landlord who allegedly shot and killed his tenant was legally acquired and registered.
A statement by the Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service said the weapon was registered through due process in 2007.
"Police investigation has disclosed that the weapon used in committing the crime was legally acquired and registered through due process," the statement said.

The suspect, Victor Stephen Nana Kankam allegedly shot and killed the tenant at Ofankor on Sunday, May 24, 2020, because he (the tenant) refused to vacate a room he rented after the tenancy agreement had expired.

The Police also assured the deceased's family of a diligent investigation into the matter for justice to be served.
