One dead, 12 others injured in accident

A woman died on the spot while 12 others sustained injuries when their Toyota Hiace commercial vehicle from Takoradi towards Cape Coast summersaulted upon bursting a tyre.
The incident, said to have happened at about 11.30 am Friday at a stretch of the road near near Supum Dunkwan, saw the vehicle summersault and turn to the opposite direction of the journey.

According to the police, the driver Peter Adjei was said to have applied the brakes upon bursting the tyres of the vehicle with registration No. WR 990 - 16.
The victims were conveyed to Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital and Daboase Hospital.
