“I, therefore, entreat you to be mindful of the law and the rights of the citizens in the discharge of the duties,” he told the police personnel.
The “Operation Calm Life” aims at combating criminal activities in all parts of the country.
In an address at the ceremony at the National Police Training School at Tesano in Accra, President Akufo-Addo said the relaunch of Operation Calm Life had become necessary, especially, with the logistical support being provided by the military which would help the police in their fight against crime.
He gave an assurance that the government was committed to resourcing the security agencies so they could effectively carry out their mandate and help maintain the peace, security and stability of the nation in the quest to build a progressive and prosperous Ghana.
Professionalism
“To this end, I urge you the members of the security agencies to carry out this operation with the seriousness and diligence it deserves,” the President said.
He added that he was confident that the professionalism of the men and women of the security agencies would be demonstrated once again.
